Fiber Optic Attenuator LC / UPC 5dB High Precision Attenuation Value For FTTH
LC attenuator feature a proprietary type of metal-ion doped fiber which reduces the light signal as it passes through. This method of attenuation allows for higher performance than fiber splices or fiber offsets or fiber clearance, which function by misdirecting rather than absorbing the light signal. LC attenuator are capable of performing in the 1310 nm and 1550 nm for Single-Mode, and 850nm for Multi-Mode (but only attenuation as 2dB,5dB,10dB,15dB for 50/125um and 2dB,5dB).
LC Fiber optic attenuators are used to decrease signal power of the outputs of light sources and electrical-to-optical converters. They also can be used to confirm the dynamic range of photo sensors and photo detectors. Attenuators can be used by single-mode and multi-mode optical cables.
